While there is no doubt in my mind that the Clown sheriff was responsible, either directly or though his just absolute blatant disregard for human life, in the death of Josh Scott, who suspiciously died in the parish jail in 2018. This is not the only suspicious death of a person in the Clown sheriff custody. On October 28, 2022, a person named Maintrill Rodgers was murdered in the Catahoula Correctional Center by inmates. The story of this murder has been suppressed and hidden from the people of this parish by an in house investigation (the sheriff office investigating a crime that occurred at the sheriff office prison facility) and secreted away from public view by the intentional concealing the facts of this murder. This man’s murder is truly a tale of corruption, man’s inhumanity to man, and evil hiding amongst the so-called righteous.
There is not much information available on Maintrill, he appears to have been maybe from Lake Providence and was at the time of his murder a pretrial inmate on a theft of a vehicle charges out of Madison Parish. He gave a Monroe address. Maintrill was not from Catahoula Parish and as far as I can tell had no family here. It is further unclear as to why Maintrill was transferred from Madison Parish to Catahoula Parish. I have my suspicions that he was intentionally sent to the Catahoula Correctional Center so that he could be murdered in J-dorm by other inmates.
While the motive for that transfer from Madison Parish to Catahoula is unclear, what is clear is that on October 28, 2022, Maintrill was transferred from the Madison Parish Detention Center to the Catahoula Correctional Center. He was transported from Madison Parish by the Catahoula Correctional Center officers. He was apparently the only inmate transferred from Madison Parish to Catahoula Parish on that date. So why was a Madison Parish pretrial detainee being house at Catahoula Correctional Center? No one seems to want to talk about that question.

This is the report dated November 22, 2022, that the so-called investigators prepared in relation to this murder.
Now Maintrill was by no means a shining citizen of virtue. He appears to be a product of an underworld society that I perceive to be a death cult that is so pervasive amongst the black youth in this country. I say appears, because as I stated, I know very little about Maintill’s past or person, but he appears to be immersed in the world of guns, drugs, prisons, and death by violence. A world that we as a society pretend doesn’t exist, but cannot deny the blood that flows in our streets and steals our nation’s future.
Despite Maintrill’s criminal past and the fact he has no connections to our parish, he was still a human being. Also despite what some may think, he was also a child of god. He had a family who loved him and who have grieved from his loss. And despite what he may have done in life, it did not justify how he was treated by the Clown sheriff and his cronies and certainly did not justify his murder.

While the November 22, 2022 sheriff office investigation report is skimpy at best, it leaves out multiple facts that make this murder so horrific. First of all from the time the fight in J-dorm starts until the time a guard first enters J-dorm is some 90 seconds. Think about that! 90 seconds of inaction while your being chased, beaten, and stabbed by a mob of angry people who want to kill you! Why didn’t the prison staff intervene in this attack, while a man is beaten and stabbed repeatedly by some ten to fifteen people? Did they even know or care about what was going on? Was anyone in the control room monitoring the dorm?
Obviously not.
So what you see in the video is that the fight begins and travel from its starting point in the dorm to the front of the dorm where the control room is located. This shows that Maintrill was trying to get to where the control room was in J-dorm. Most likely to attempt to get help, help that was not going to come! Why?
Whistleblowers from the prison tell a different story than that related in the sham sheriff office investigator report. One advised that Maintrill from his arrival at the prison on October 28, 2022, kept telling the guards that there were people in J-dorm that were going to kill him. Maintrill’s warning were dismissed and ignored by the prison guards. When he resisted being put into the dorm, he was pepper sprayed, by the now warden, and forced to enter J-dorm by force of violence from the staff at the prison. Like being walked at the plank with a sword in your back, then forced to jump into shark infested waters! That’s called by another name, a murder!
Another whistleblower indicated that Maintrill had not been in J-dorm more than a few minutes when the fight broke out and the other inmates began their attack on Maintrill. That despite the attack, there were not enough employees available, at the time, to enter the dorm and that the control room guards had to wait until a person with a key to J-dorm arrived to enter and stop the melee.

“The information coming from the Dorm Rep of J-Dorm DOC prisoner T. M. According to him Captain Jeremy Wiley and Sergeant Cory Whittington physically wrestled inmate Roger’s and sprayed chemical agent into the facial area of inmate Roger’s because he resisted being placed in the dorm. Inmate Roger’s feared for his life being put in J dorm with enemies he knew were in there. He knew the enemies were in the dorm because another trusty working inmate whom was on the hallway upon inmate Roger’s arrival at ccc he knew told him. After Wiley and Whittington sprayed him with chemical agents they forced him into the dorm partially blind with mace therefore he couldn’t really defend himself from other inmates. They never allowed him to see a nurse or take a shower, the proper protocol for decontamination after the use of force with chemical agents. Inmate Roger’s then went
into the dorm and stood on the left side of the dorm in front of the control center operator vision. He then was approach by several inmates that had knives, he ran up to inmate T. M. and stated ” Man don’t let them kill me!” M. responded ” I can’t help you because they’ll kill me too, just run up to the control center flap and tell the female correctional officer. However before he could make it there, at least (30) inmates attacked him, inmate Roger’s was stabbed multiple times. Rogers then ran back up to M. and stated” They got me man. M. said blood was pouring from his mouth and all over his body blood was pouring. M. then says he spit out a hunk of meat that appeared to be intestines. Afterwards several staff came to his aid but Rogers collapsed.
Inmate M. then said ” I know the exact person who jugged him with the fatal stab and I know where the knife is, he hid the weapon in the hole of the wall midway j dorm. M. then went on to say I am not telling anyone else this, but you and Sheriff Tony Edwards the full story. Captain Chad Littleton was notified and sent in the dorm to shake down the area. Captain Littleton then found the alleged murder weapon. It was a homemade shank 12″ long ( black with silver blade). After this sheriff Edwards was notified and told inmate M. wanted to speak to him about the murder of inmate Roger’s. Sheriff Edwards responded back saying he would interview inmate M. Monday morning, but he never did. Captain Littleton to place the knife into an evidence bag and took it to the sheriff office. Afterwards inmate M. was shipped away. In my opinion sheriff Edward’s knew if he investigated this by talking to inmate M., he would have to placed Wiley and Whittington under arrest along with 25 more inmates involved in the incident. I gave the email I exchanged conversation with sheriff Edwards to Department of Justice Attorney B.B. of the western district federal bureau of investigation. The case has now been reopened to investigate Wiley and Whittington on such job negligence and malfeasance in office.”

What is clear on the two videos of the fight is that Maintrill was trying to get to the door and attention of the control room guards by his running to that area of the dorm. While the videos conveniently don’t show what happened during the attack by the control room door and control room, it is obvious that Maintill was trying to get someone’s attention to the attack that was on him.
As is seen in the crime scene video at 21:29:40 the area of the main attack on Maintrill was the same area as the control room access area.
This video shows where the white towel on the floor is, as where the fight began, and it continued to the exit door of the J-dorm located adjacent to the control room where the guards were supposed to be monitoring the dorm actions. Notice also that before the investigators had even arrived the scene had been “cleaned up” of much of the blood splatter. Why would you clean up the scene of a murder before the investigators got there? Unless you’re trying to conceal the truth.
Another former employee reported that after they entered the dorm on October 28, 2022, that Maintrill was still alive, but there was no medical staff at the prison and no one administered any first aid to Maintrill. Also, that the ambulance was called and apparently didn’t arrive for some 20 minutes. In that time Maintrill was left on the ground outside, while he suffocated from a open chest wound and/or punctured lung.
It is highly likely that Maintrill had an open chest wound and could have been saved if the wound would have been covered and treated with initial first aid.

While I am no medic, even I know that a sucking chest wound and punctured lung can be treated with placing something over the wound that will permit the victim to regain breathing and allow the blood to escape the wound. This was a treatable stab wound, but without immediate first aid care, Maintrill died in minutes. You can tell from the grass on the wound that no first aid was provided to Maintrill at all. Guess no one cared enough to try and save a man’s life. Or didn’t want to save his life!

Maintrill was brought to the Catahoula Correctional Center and prison staff made sure this man was put in J-Dorm. One of the worst and most violent parts of Toney’s House of torture. He told them they are gonna kill me if you put me in there. Sure enough ten minutes later the man is murdered! Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this one out!
On October 28, 2022, Maintrill was transfer from Madison Parish to the Catahoula Correctional Center. there is nothing in the records or known about why he was brought to the Catahoula Correctional Center. Could he have been brought to the Catahoula Correctional Center for the very purpose that he would be murdered in the prison? I believe that is a very real explanation that was not even looked at by the investigators! Why? Because he was black and in jail? because he was a poor nobody? Because they were in on the conspiracy? Because they didn’t “want” to know the truth? Or was it because they were covering up the truth!
I personally believe that the murder of Maintrill Rogers was done with the assistance of prison staff to facilitate his murder. Kind of like how Whitey Bulger just accidently died.
Or how Jeffery Epstein died in his cell of a suicide. Right! “If you believe that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell to you”
Who knows, in Maintrill Rodger’s case maybe even someone at the prison or sheriff office was paid a little cash to have Maintrill killed. I would not put anything past the corruption that has pervaded our sheriff office from the top to the bottom at this point.
But the real question on this case and investigation is why? Why on the name of all that is holy, would you use your own people to investigate a murder that happened in your own facility? Talk about conflicts, cover-up, corruption, and inside protection racket, this has to be one of the most sham, unethical and immoral murder investigations in the history of Louisiana homicide investigations. Congratulations Clown sheriff, got to give you kudos on this one. And, sadly, no one even cares!
Just so you know all the defendants in this murder case have pled guilty to either misdemeanors, aggravated battery or manslaughter. The cases are all now closed as far as prosecution of this murder. and Maintrill is now forgotten by the court system in Catahoula Parish.
But that is not the end of the lies and cover up. Apparently, this knife was recovered by a sheriff office employees on November 13, 2022.
On November 21, 2022, some eight days after recovery of the knife that murdered Maintrill, the Investigator for the Catahoula Parish Sheriff Office, Ben Adams, certified to the district attorney this was “all the materials disclosed, discovered, and/or generated by the investigation of the incident upon which this matter is premised.” Ben Adams further certified that he “did not have any knowledge of any other investigative data, except for possible crime lab reports and/or autopsy reports which remain outstanding and/or other forensic analysis which may not be completed.”
Well can you guess what the investigator and case agent Adams failed to turn over and include or even mention in his investigative report of November 22, 2022 and failed to mention in his certification to the district attorney’s Office on November 23, 2022, and has still to date mentioned or included as evidence and as part of this crime? Yep: THE MURDER WEAPON! which Adams had knowledge of at least by the afternoon of November 13, 2022, when the picture of the found weapon was sent to Warden Wiley. Or did Warden Wiley conceal evidence in a murder investigation, you be the judge!
Everything in this article is now public record of a man’s death, to most assuredly be minimized, excused, overlooked and washed away. Another dirty story out of dirty place. Congratulations are in order to all the scumbags who so easily dismissed this man’s death with a nod and a good old boy slap on the back.
To understand this indifference to a man’s death, all you really have to do is look at the picture of Maintrill and then watch the video of the crime scene walkthrough above. Who are all those guys in camo, whose hunts were interrupted because some black dude got murdered?
With all the barbarity that has loosed upon our world today, if we fail to call out the savage acts done by our neighbors and that occur in our own backyard, then we are truly doomed to accept this as a new normal and in the process loose our humanity.
